Spring 2025 - Captain's Meeting Minutes

Was great seeing everyone at the Captain's Meeting on Tuesday!  A brief overview of the Meeting Minutes:

  • No Old Business brought to the table
  • President's Update:
    - Considerations are being made to give additional recognition to sponsor's who have been in long standing with the league.  More details to follow soon.
    - Since no letters of intent were submitted for either the President or Secretary positions, Rob and Jack have agreed to stay on for 1 more term.  There was no election for these 2 positions at this meeting.
     
  • VP Update:
    - Ed introduced Chris from Scud Sports to talk about Dart Shirt possibilities.  If you are interested, reach out to Ed at:  sddlvp@gmail.com and he can connect you to Chris to take care of everything.  Ed will not be handling the transaction, you will be dealing directly with Chris.
     
  • Secretary Update:
    - In the A Division there is now a 4 team sub division setup called A+ and A.  The top 4 teams from last season playing in the A+ and the remaining teams and teams moving up landing within the A division.  A full 14 week season will be played where everyone plays each other, but the standings and stats will be separated.  Come playoff time, everyone makes the playoffs, and the winners of the A+ division will play the winners of the A division for the League Championship trophy.  
    - Experimenting with Dartconnect's ability to allow you to enter your lineups for the match from your phone in the A division.   
    - B and C Divisions have 6 teams in each, and therefore will have a 15 week season.  
    - D Division has a full 8 teams and will play a full 14 week season.  
    - No divisions have byes this season.
    - Also no changes are being made to the match composition.  Still a 19 pt. night for all divisions.
     
  • Treasurer Update
    - Financially the league is doing well and there is no scheduled increase in fees for either sponsors or teams at this moment.

New Business Discussed:

  • A motion was brought to the table looking to add a raffle at the Captain's Meeting for the sponsors to win a dart board prior to the start of the season.  For each team sponsored they would get 1 ticket into the drawing.  Winners pulled at the meeting would not be eligible to win at the next following meeting.  1 winner allowed per calendar year.   The motion was seconded, and came to a unanimous vote.  Motion passed and will start at the Fall Captain's Meeting.
     

Spring 2025 season will start on 1/28/25, and all schedules have been posted on DartConnect.    Good luck to everyone this upcoming season!
